Email: I hate it when this happens...

I hate it when this happens - a well-meaning friend/contact has emailed a number of their contacts to offer / ask something and suddenly your email address has been sent to a whole bunch of people you don't know.

More than once I have had strangers email me to ask if I want to host a Tupperware party (or something just as exciting) - when I asked how they got my email address and they replied "You're a friend of x's" I was not impressed.

Your friends / contacts / acquaintances / team members have a right to privacy so unless you've checked with them - use BCC!
