Ruth Hamilton

Ruth HamiltonRuth Hamilton launched WritersInc Ltd in 1998, after a successful career in teaching. 

Since then, Ruth has worked as a documentation consultant, technical writer and trainer for a wide variety of organisations. 

Ruth’s documentation experience includes writing procedure manuals for a major supermarket chain, franchise manuals for supply companies and online Help for outage, works and utilities management software. She particularly enjoys designing and developing training material.

Ruth’s consultancy work includes designing documentation management and control strategies to support knowledge management projects.  She has also assisted companies implement and document their Health and Safety systems in order to comply with ACC’s Workplace Safety Management Practices audit tool.

Ruth is an experienced presenter and is highly regarded as a teacher and industry trainer. She is a certificated Information Mapping® trainer and lectures part-time at AUT University.  Participants on Ruth’s courses appreciate her practical, hands-on approach, which empowers them to put theory into practice.  She is convinced that ‘doing’ helps consolidate learning and that people learn more when they are having fun.

Ruth’s extensive, practical experience gives her a good understanding of the problems and challenges people face when learning new skills and appreciates that people have different learning styles.  She is able to bring this knowledge and experience to training design and delivery.

Ruth currently sits on the boards of IBF (Independent Business Foundation) and IABC (Institute of Accredited Business Consultants).
