Online Help Features
All WritersInc online help systems contain some or all of the following features, subject to client requirements:
Content is structured and modularised according to the purpose of the information and the target audience's needs.
Online help is integrated into your software system. When a user presses the ‘Help’ button on a particular screen, the help topic for that screen is displayed. This is known as context sensitive help.
Additional ‘what’s this?’ help is may be provided.
Error messages can be incorporated into the online help. This means that errors are explained, which empowers users to recover from any mistakes they make. This can reduce the need for additional assistance and can also reduce any translation and localisation costs.
Online help can be created at the same time as user manuals, or software product descriptions. We can use the same information source to produce online or print formats. This is known as single sourcing.
WritersInc can compile and deliver online helpm systems in a number of formats: WinHelp, HTMLHelp, WebHelp, ORACLEHelp, JavaHelp, HTML or XML. |
