More about Niki

Over the past two decades Niki has worked in a variety of positions in a number of different industries including project management, automotive parts distribution, shipping, local government, electrical/home automation, education, healthcare and accounting.

Niki started work in the IT industry where she stayed for ten years performing a number of roles that involved a variety of responsibilities including user support, training, documentation, testing, programming and business analysis.

Niki left full-time employment in late 2000 to start a family.  During her time away from the paid workforce, she worked in a number of roles for a national volunteer organisation that provided parenting education and support.  The invaluable experience of managing a volunteer committee, and later sitting on the national board, often took her out of her comfort zone but she utilises the skills she learnt regularly.

Niki started working for WritersInc as a contract technical writer in 2006. Within six months she joined the permanent team and since then she's been involved in a variety of projects for a range of businesses.

In 2010 Niki was voted on to the Board of Trustees at her daughters' primary school; it's another role that regularly takes her out of her comfort zone and has her learning yet another new set of acronyms.

Niki loves her work at WritersInc because she's always learning something new, and she gets to work with some really great people.  What other job can have you learning about OOS, back injuries, hazardous goods, fabrication, security and ACC rehabilitation all in one month?

Niki has a 'can do' attitude, is quick to learn, has great people skills, and is always ready to get her hands on the next project.
